(b. 1903, b. 2000)

Biala was a Polish émigré born Schenehaia Tworkovska in a small village of Biala in 1903. Well regarded in France and the United States for her paintings of intimate interiors, portraits of famous friends, and the places she traveled, this site is dedicated to her life and work.

"Because all art is sensual before it is anything else. The art of painting is for the eye first and last..."
